Last updated: September 29, 2026 · Version 1.0
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sandbox website and web application (the “Site”), operated by SandboxLearn (“Sandbox,” “we,” “us”), 156 Portland Street, Toronto, Canada. By visiting or using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Teachers and schools who create an account also agree to our Terms of Service, which set out the service agreement, payment terms, and student-data responsibilities.
Privacy
Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy and FERPA Notice, which explain what information we collect and how we protect it.
Intellectual Property
The Site, including its software, text, graphics, logos, templates, and design, is owned by SandboxLearn or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other laws. “Sandbox” and related marks may not be used without our written permission.
Content you create in Sandbox remains yours. You give us a limited license to host and process it so we can provide the Site to you.
Your Account
Some features require an account, and access may require approval from us. You must give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission.
You must be a teacher or authorized school staff member, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to create an account. Students do not create accounts on the Site.
License
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your own non-commercial teaching and professional purposes. Templates and resources we provide may be used in your classroom but may not be resold or redistributed as your own product.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content, including AI-generated content, are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or appropriate for your students. Please review all content before using it in class.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SandboxLearn is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Restrictions on Use
You agree not to: use the Site for anything unlawful or unrelated to education; copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the Site or its content; attempt to access other users’ accounts or data; upload malware or interfere with the Site’s security or performance; use the Site for advertising or to send spam; enter real student personal information during the pilot unless we have told you in writing it is permitted; or use the Site in a way that harms, harasses, or misleads others.
We may suspend or remove access, or remove content, if you break these rules.
Other Sites
The Site may link to third-party websites or services, including Stripe when payments are enabled. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
Changes and Governing Law
We may update these Terms and Conditions by posting the revised version here with a new date. Continued use of the Site means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes will be handled by the courts in Toronto, Ontario. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
